PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DALAM TANGGAP DARURAT BENCANA BANJIR MELALUI SUPPORT EDUKASI EVAKUASI DAN TRANSPORTASI PADA SARASEHAN JUMAT KLIWONAN

Background: Floods are a frequent occurrence in Indonesia, especially during the rainy season. Geographically, Indonesia has over 5,000 large and small rivers, 30% of which flow through densely populated areas. This naturally increases the potential for hydrometeorological disasters, such as flooding in residential areas along which the rivers flow. Floods can occur slowly over a long period of time or suddenly, occurring in a short period of time, known as flash floods. Floods can cause human losses, both material and non-material, and even loss of life. Purpose: The purpose of this activity is to increase awareness, willingness, understanding, and ability of residents in evacuation and transportation in emergency response to flood disasters. Method: The implementation of this Community Service Program is in the form of community empowerment through educational support on evacuation and transportation for members of the “Saresehan Jumat Kliwonan” groups in Gagakan Village, Kahuman, Polanharjo, Klaten Regency, in evacuation and transportation in flood disaster emergency response with the number of participants attending 26 people consisting of 1 village official, 6 administrators of the “Saresehan Jumat Kliwonan” group, and 29 members of “Saresehan Jumat Kliwonan”. This activity starts from planning, implementation, evaluation, to preparation of reports. Results: This community service activity received positive appreciation from all members of the "Saresehan Jumat Kliwonan" group and government officials of Gagakan, Kahuman, Polanharjo, and Klaten Regency Villages. Based on the results of the Mann-Whitney U analysis test, there was a significant increase in ability (knowledge and attitude) after being given educational support on evacuation and transportation of p = 0.026. The next activity plan is to conduct socialization of evacuation and transportation in flood disaster emergency response in every community discussion activity. Conclusion: Community empowerment through training on evacuation and transportation in flood disaster emergency response can increase the knowledge of members of the "Saresehan Jumat Kliwonan" group in Gagakan, Kahuman, Polanharjo, Klaten Regency. The role of the "Saresehan Jumat Kliwonan" group in public health activities needs to be optimized so that all health services in the community are well socialized.
